2) Get Pre-qualified for your loan

So many buyers skip this essential step!  Getting pre-qualified for a loan can take as little as 30 minutes with a lender, and can help you grab that "Perfect Home" when it hits the market.  Being pre-qualified actually strengthens your bargaining position when you make an offer on a home.   If you are competing with another offer on the same home, often times the buyers who have their loan already in place are the people who have their offer accepted.   The sellers don't have to worry about "if" you can get a loan to purchase the home, they already know you have that issue taken care of.

Also, getting pre-qualified allows you time to correct any errors on your credit report, as well as clean up any small (or large) credit issues before you find that dream home.   Getting pre-qualified also ensures that you're looking in the correct price range, as well as gives you an idea of how much your payment will be, what you'll need at closing, and whether or not you can qualify for a low down or "0 down" loan program.

FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS might qualify for great low-down & zero down loans with interest rates LOWER than current conventional rates.  Click on the link on my home page for First Time Homebuyers for more information!
